Activities Overview
We have always specialised in outdoor activities which are appropriate for your child, such as climbing, canoeing, expeditions and Duke of Edinburgh's award. We have a camp site in Eyam.
We have a Summer Camp for Year 6 and above and a Junior Camp in June/July.We have seniors weekends, camping, and expeditions.
We have ice skating, bowling, Lazar fun, a summer outdoor programme and social events . Throughout the year we have visits, which have included: Alton Towers, NEC Classic Car Show, Pantomime, Firework display, Santa Special, Whirlow Grange Farm, Magna, Mining Museum and local museums and parks.
On Monday nights our programme will usually contain some of the following:

Creative activities such as drama, music/singing, craft, cooking, woodwork, colouring, drawing, painting, model making and clay work.

Christian festivals and the life of Jesus. Introduction to prayer, the Bible and the Christian Faith.

Physical activities such as games, unihoc, agilities, gymnastics, healthy living, table tennis, snooker.

Community activities such as first aid, care for the environment, third world fundraising and awareness, recycling, home and road safety.

Interest and mind activities such as quizzes, word searches, memory agilities,the night sky, scientific experiments, hobbies.
For older members we have our own leadership courses, and a badge structure underpins all activities leading to Queen's Award and DEA.
