James H&S

Minister – Rev James Morley

James came to us in 2018, and looks after Apperknowle and St Paul’s as well as our church. He is also one of the four Co-Superintendents of the Sheffield Circuit. James has an interest in youth work, contextual theology and the arts (especially hard rock and heavy metal). Born in Manchester, he took a degree in Religious Studies at Lancaster. He then worked with a youth arts programme and later in a local government job, which provided many insights into contemporary social and personal problems. James trained for ordained ministry on the Eastern Region Ministry course. He and his fiancee have four children between them.

Chief Steward – Mrs Libby Long

Libby says: "I have been worshipping at Coal Aston for 47 years and their pastoral visitor for over twenty years.  Caring for each church member and also the wider community is very important to me.  I think it is a way of spreading God's love and feel privileged to be allowed to do this.  My family live in Hull and Hathersage and my hobbies are walking in the Peak District, singing in a choir, visiting art galleries and the cinema."
